Bletchley Engine laboratory

This was the site of Octel’s engine laboratory which carried out tests on the Antiknock compounds ( AKC)  and assisted in design of petrol and diesel engines. The laboratory started work on 3rd June 1953. A range of engine sensers would be fitted to production vehicles and the effects of antiknock compounds studied.
